FAQ
Materials & Making
What metals do you use?
All metal used in Cervo Studio jewellery is 100% recycled. The metal and fineness of each piece are identified on its product page or agreed during the bespoke design process.
Are your gemstones natural or laboratory-created?
We use a mixture of natural and laboratory-created gemstones, with each clearly identified.
For bespoke commissions, we discuss the available options in relation to your preferences, budget and how the piece will be worn.
How is your jewellery made?
We use fabrication, wax carving and computer-aided design. These techniques may be used individually or together, depending on the requirements of the design.

Choosing Your Jewellery
What is the difference between ready-to-ship and made-to-order?
Ready-to-ship pieces have already been made. Made-to-order pieces are produced after your order is placed.
Please check the individual product page for availability and production times. Production time is separate from the time your parcel takes to reach you.
Can I choose a different metal or gemstone?
Please contact the studio with the name of the design and the changes you have in mind.
We will advise on what is possible, along with any difference in price and production time. Some changes can be arranged without a full bespoke consultation.
How do I find my ring size?
We recommend having your finger measured professionally, particularly for wider bands or rings intended to be worn together.
Our sizing guide provides further advice. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.
Can my ring be resized?
This depends on its design, setting and the size adjustment required. Some rings cannot be resized.
Please contact us with the name of the piece so we can advise before you order or arrange any work.
Bespoke Commissions
Do I need a finished design to enquire?
No. You can begin with a personal story, a gemstone, a reference image or a general idea.
We will help you explore the possibilities and develop a design around your preferences.
How do I begin a commission?
Complete the bespoke enquiry form with your ideas, budget and any important dates.
Once we have reviewed your enquiry, we will be in touch to discuss the next steps and arrange a consultation where needed.
Is there a design fee?
There is a £50 fee for the initial consultation and agreed design development. If you proceed with the jewellery commission, this is credited towards the total price.
The scope of the design service is confirmed before payment. Any additional design work or charges will be agreed in advance.

How much does bespoke jewellery cost?
Each commission is individually priced according to its materials, complexity and the work involved.
Sharing your budget at the beginning helps us suggest suitable options. The design, specifications and total price are agreed before production begins.
How long does a bespoke commission take?
Production typically takes 6–8 weeks after design approval and payment. Design development takes place before this, and more complex pieces may require longer.
We will agree a timeframe with you before making begins. Please mention any proposal, wedding or other important date in your initial enquiry.
Orders & Delivery
Can you accommodate a particular date?
Please contact us before ordering if you need your jewellery for a specific occasion.
We will check availability and production requirements and advise on what is achievable.
Can I change an order after placing it?
Contact the studio as soon as possible with your order number and the change you would like to make.
The options will depend on the piece and whether production or dispatch has begun. We will explain any effect on price or timing before proceeding.
Where can I find delivery and returns information?
Our Shipping & Returns page explains delivery arrangements and the returns process.
Bespoke commissions and design services also have their own cancellation terms. Please read the information relevant to your purchase before ordering.

Caring for Your Jewellery
How should I clean my piece?
The appropriate method depends on its metal, gemstones and finish. Follow the care instructions supplied with your jewellery and avoid cleaning products or devices unless you know they are suitable.
Our Jewellery Care page provides general guidance.
What should I do if my jewellery is damaged?
Stop wearing the piece if a stone is loose, a setting is damaged or a clasp is no longer secure.
Email the studio with photographs, a description of the issue and your order number if available. We will advise on the next step.
